Çırağan Palace, the only Imperial Palace Hotel in Istanbul has been renovated...

Ciragan Palace has a rich history dating back to Sultan Mahmud II. It was later rebuilt by Sultan Abdulmajid and then destroyed by a fire in 1910. The Palace hosted Ottoman Sultans and Sadrazams, who was the prime minister of Ottoman Empire, for years. It began serving its guests after the completion of its first renovation in 1991. The current 2007 renovation blends architectural magnificence fit for the palace and the modern comforts of a luxurious lifestyle.

Ciragan Palace Renovation Program which began in January combines the grandeur of the Palace with the best of modern technology. The new design of the palace mixes the original oriental interior characteristics with an eclectic approach unique to the late 19th century.

The Palace opens its doors to guests with all of its magnificence integrated with contemporary technological infrastructure. Invitation halls and glorious palace rooms have been renovated after intensive work.

The design of the interior renovation project was performed by Ms. Hande Tözün, after a detailed research on Ottoman architecture. With her extensive experience, Prof. Nurhan Atasoy, Specialist on Ottoman Art, supported Ms. Hande during this process.

Mr. Henri Blin, General Manager of Ciragan Palace Kempinski commented on the renovation which cost approximately 5 million USD:
